ABOUT

Deciding to work in the heating and cooling industry was an easy decision for me, it was a field I had a great interest in from a young age and when given the opportunity to learn from one of the leading names in Haliburton County about wood stove installation, I jumped at the chance. I furthered my career in February 2020, when I became WETT Certified and began focusing on producing quality work, great customer service and making a positive impact on my local community. By putting my experiences and skills to work managing projects with creative problem solving and innovative thinking, working both independently and in collaboration on larger projects, I have built a strong eye for detail which I put into everything I do small or big.

Whether you need someone to fix a small problem with your current system or collaborate on a new installation, I'd love to hear from you. You're invited to explore my work and contact me so we can discuss how we can do some great work together.

Family business, Local to Haliburton County, small business

Our family is well rooted in the Highlands. Both my wife and I have lived and been educated in the local area. In 2007 I left the area for a short period of time to attend Conestoga College where I received my Heating and Cooling diploma and started my career. Life was exciting in the city but there was always something calling me back to the Haliburton area, every chance I got I returned to the peaceful surroundings of Haliburton. I soon decided that Haliburton was where I wanted to be and moved back full-time. Shortly after I met my wife Ashley Askew (Leahy) in 2015, through a mutual friend. Ashley's family is originally from Haliburton and when Ashley was 8 her family returned to the area where she continued her education. Briefly moving to Belleville to attend Loyalist College. Upon receiving her Social Services Worker Diploma she returned to her roots working in the very school system she attended throughout her younger years as an Educational Assistant. In 2018 we welcomed our first son John to the world and bought a family home in Gooderham. We were married in the beautiful fall leaves at Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride in 2019, a place we both grew up visiting. Then in 2021, we were blessed with a second son named Bellamy.
